Questions:

1) Why does the feet on the parquet feel warm and the feet on the tiles feel cold?

Group:

The tiles transfer thermal energy from our body faster than parquet so we would feel that the tiles are colder. Tiles are better conductor of thermal energy compared to parquet. Thus the feet on the parquet feels warm and the feet on the tiles feel cold.

Personal:

The temperature of the tiles and parquet are the same, but tiles are a better conductor of heat than parquet. The rate of thermal energy transferred from our feet to the tiles is higher compared to parquet. The tiles are conducting heat from our feet at a higher rate than parquet. Thus, our feet feels colder on tiles than parquet.
